THE HEAVIEST LOAD YOU CAN BEAR

THE HEAVIEST LOAD YOU CAN BEAR

So you’re bitter and all disillusioned

and you think you’ve been hoodwinked and had!

Look around! there are others less lucky:

And you’ll find that it isn’t so bad.

Is there someone you trusted and shouldn’t?

Forgive it. Forget it. Go on.

Maybe vengeance is sweet for the taking.

But it’s bitter remembered anon.

I’m not one for the preaching of sermons:

To live and let live; That is all.

Not to judge or condone or condemn them.

When the music has gone, leave the hall!

And I’ve learned from each bitter experience

Not to have hate or despise or compare,

If you live with a chip on your shoulder

It’s the heaviest weight you can bear.
